Wizard Captain Andrew Marchese completed his stellar wrestling career with a 2nd place finish in the New York State Championship tournament. We would like to thank Andrew for his hard work, leadership, and commitment to the Wizards wrestling program for the past 13 years. Marchese finishes his High School career as the most decorated wrestler in school history. Some of Marchese’s accomplishments include:

• 6 year Washingtonville Youth Wrestler

• Wizard Modified Wrestling Captain

• 4 year Wizard Varsity Wrestling Captain

• Wizards Wrestling Rookie of the Year

• 3x Wizards Most Outstanding Wrestler

• Washingtonville Wrestling All-Time Wins Leader – 155 wins

• Washingtonville Wrestling All-Time Highest Winning Percentage – 155-17 (90%)

• Section 9 Rookie of the Year (Terry Cody Award)

• 4x Section 9 Placer

• 3x Section 9 Champion

• 2022 Section 9 Sportsmanship Award Winner (voted by Section 9 Champions)

• 2x NYS State Placer
