Thank you and Goodbye

My time in Washingtonville has come to an end. I have made the decision to move on. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported our wrestling program over the years. Building up a program takes a collective effort. Thank you parents for your investment and sacrifices. Thank you Alumni for helping me develop as a coach and generously giving back your time and efforts. I wish the Washingtonville Wrestling Program the best in the future. I’ll see you on the mats!

Coach Lee

We will be pausing Hurt Fitness training sessions until further notice.

For years, Washingtonville Wrestling was considered one of the strongest teams in section 9. We have since lost that distinction.

We need to get STRONGER!

Washingtonville Wizards Wrestling Award winner Ben Lambousis will be training our wrestlers this off-season. Ben is a Strongman Champion, and the owner of Hurt Fitness Gym in Washingtonville. Ben has been dedicated to helping our wrestlers achieve their goals on the mat for the past 4 seasons. His knowledge and intense training sessions have been a valuable asset to the success of our wrestling program.

There will be Hurt Fitness training sessions on Saturdays from 9am to 11am for Middle School and High School Wrestlers, beginning April 30th. The cost for each session will be $5. We will also be having weight lifting sessions after school on Monday and Wednesday from 2:15pm to 3:30pm. Training programs will be posted on the PLT4M app.

This will be a great opportunity to accumulate training hours and to regain the mantle of being one of the strongest teams in Section 9. GO WIZARDS!!

Delaware Valley League stats and other off-season information can now be found under the “Off-Season” dropdown menu. Great job last night to all of the wrestlers who took advantage of this great off-season wrestling opportunity. Stats will be updated throughout the league competition. Tim Hewitt led the way for the Wizards in week 1, going 3-0 on the night with all of his wins coming by pinfall.

GO WIZARDS.

Washingtonville Wrestling will be putting a team together to wrestle in the Delaware Valley League. The league will have matches on Wednesdays, beginning April 6th. Please contact Coach Lee, if you are interested in participating. Wrestlers will be getting 3-4 matches each day of competition. This is a great way to get quality wrestling competition from Pennsylvania. I’ve attached a flyer with more information. GO WIZARDS!!
